Body-Solid Tools Roepke Olympic Collar - Red, the Roepke Olympic Collars from Body-Solid are clamp collars with a compression lever constructed from solid aluminum for use in securing weight plates onto an Olympic barbell. Body-Solid BSTROC aluminum clamp collars are simple, fast, reliable, and durable. The solid extruded aluminum structure of the Roepke bar clamps is not only rust-resistant but also offers all the strength without the weight or bulk of traditional steel or iron collars. The design of the collar is very slim, taking up only one inch of space on a bar sleeve. Unlike many clamping collars which take up 2 to 2-1/2 inches of space, the Roepke collars allow more room for heavy loading especially when using thicker bumper plates for controlled movements. The Body-Solid Roepke Olympic Collars are designed for non-impact or low-impact strength training movements such as squats, bench press, deadlifts, upright rows, shrugs, curls, and other heavy-duty training exercises where weight plate stability and security is desired for peace of mind and safety. Minimalist in size and weighing only a pound total for the pair, these virtually indestructible compression collars make a great addition to your gym bag training arsenal. Choose from the natural aluminum finish, or the flashier red anodized finish for higher visibility at home or at the gym.

To use the Roepke barbell clamps, open the lever to allow the Olympic bar sleeve to fit snugly inside against the curved portion of the collar. Next, firmly press down on the lever until it comes to rest against the bar sleeve. The lever action will compress the collar in a squeezing fashion around the bar sleeve to create an ultra-tight grip. Rubber grommets on the inside of the collars not only protect the bar sleeve from scratching but also allow for some variances in Olympic bar sleeve diameter when slightly larger or smaller than the standard 2 inches (50mm). The pair of Roepke clamping collars will hold in place against up to 255 pounds of weight plates dropped from 5 feet.
